Anyone know? Gas Cap Air Pressure Surge?
Driving to work this morning someone left an obnoxiously sized rock on the road, i chose not to hit an oncoming vehicle and clipped it, sending it somewhere underneath my car where nothing is located. After pulling over to check for damage i heard an air pressure release that sounded like darth vader. The sound turns out is coming from my Gas Cap, i undid, checked the seal, retightened and still the sound comes every short while. Service Engine light didn't come on with a Code for an Evap System leak. Didnt right when i turned the car on after work, by the time i was home it was.
Has anyone had this problem?
Could anyone venture a guess at what it is, or how bad that might be for driving?
Appreciate any help in advance, thanks.

Your EVAP or line that runs up to the engine bay from it was possibly damaged during that rock hit. Its not releasing your gasoline fumes that's why its making that psssst sound when you take off the cap. Just do the EVAP delete mod or inspect the EVAP area to figure out what needs replaced.
