Ebay short shifter

Does anyone know how much shorter the ebay short shifters are? I'm looking to buy a new shift boot since I remember my last car rubbing a lot of burning a hole though the boot. The place I'm going through for a new shift boot will shorten the extra for me but I'd like a somewhat exact measure, if possible, so I can order them at the same time.

I had one on my last evo and it seemed to be just as good as the other more expensive ones. Shifts felt nice

This is sad.
...How about you keep the damn shifter stock and buy a shep trans, metal bushings and a tilton twin disc - gauranteed better shifts.

They are exactly the same as any of the name brands. In fact most of the EBAY ones come with the plastic caps and shifter base bushings.

Search around before you just rattle something off because more people on here run the EBAY short shifters then any other

had my "ebay" short shifter for 20,000 miles now. never given me any problems and i see no reason to pay X amount of dollars more for a name in this case.

Ebay short shifter FTMFW son!

I suggest you people to check out the https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-100-time.html thread and follow all the instructions, and make sure you dremal out some of the shifter counsel so you will be able to set the shifter at its lowest setting.

true! i have the ebay one as well and i believe it has 2 diff settings.. one for "15%" shorter and one for "40%" shorter... if you go with the 40% i believe you need to dremel it out...

How that will give me a shorter shift is beyond me. Sig states I have shep transmission already. I had a short shifter in previous cars and like the closeness of the gears.

Anyway,
Question still stands: How much shorts than stock are these (in inches)?
