Evo Intercooler Piping Keeps Coming OFF!!!
Everytime I drive my evo normally ( which is shifting before 4,000 rpms) the car runs like a champ. But the moment i start going through the gears at wide open throttle in the higher rpms and getting on the turbo my lower intercooler piping just blows off the intercooler so i keep having to re clamp it on to the intercooler. i just want to get it fixed because i miss getting on my car and feeling the turbo.

please specify if you have stock LICP or aftermarket.
If stock, use new clamp (t-bolt preferibly) and spray some hairspray (get the exxxxtra hold haha) onto the LICP lip, then install and tighten the clamp (don't overdo it cause stock pipe is aluminum and could bend)
If you have aftermarket pipe then try the above, but I tell you most LICP don't have the bracket that the stock one has and tend to pop more easily.
Good luck.

Yeah i would do the same as what the other guys are saying by switching to t clamps. N maybe just clean up the pipe of any type of grease that may be there n aiding to allow the hose to slip off once you boost up.

I had the same issue with my OEM pipes as well. I ended up getting the ETS IC pipe kit because I was already modding the car with the basic bolt ons. If you don't want to get new pipes just get some t-bolt clamps like everyone has been saying. The hairspray is old school but it does work.

bro get TBOLT clamps not the phillips style clamp idk if autozone carrys tbolt. if you order a tbolt clamp just temp put 2 phillips clamps on with hairspray that worked for me untill i got my tbolt clamp.

What IC is it? The other main issue is the fact that the motor moves a bit, a lot at times, and it can basically pull the pipe away from the intercooler and then lead to the separation under hard driving. Had a ton of problems with my Buschur IC which had a rear entry for the IC pipe, even with t-bolt clamps.

Go to your local industrial plumbing supply store and get the needed T-bolt clamps. You will save quite a bit of money vs. ordering online from a racing shop, and receive a much better clamp for about the same price Autoone will charge for the crappy worm-drive clamps.
