Under valve cover question

On the evo 9 valve cover the baffle underneath. If that gets powder coating on it is that a problem. It's baked on there. Is it gonna be an issue?

How much is on there?
It really depends, if it's just a little overspray you won't have any problems.

I don't think you'll have a problem, but whoever coated it shouldn't have done that as there is no way to tell if it might come off down the road.

As long as it doesn't affect the bleed off of crankcase pressure, or block the pcv valve, or the hose that goes to the intake, then I don't see any problem. I'd be worried about pieces of the powder coating coming off possibly and getting into the cylinder head though.

The powdercoat isn't an issue. If there is any sand/glass bead/walnut residue from the prep work, that will be the issue. Be sure to rinse it thoroughly a few times.

Thanks guys. I am going to do some clean up and make sure I get alot of the crap off. Just don't want any stuff flaking off and falling through.

THIS is the main concern. How it was prepped and stripped.

Finding out that info. From the looks doesn't look like it was prepped very well.

I doubt that powder coater was familiar with doing valve covers. The underside was not to be done.
