Need advice ASAP: Is this a fair price for a stock IX MR SE with 2,400 miles on it?

Whoops, I didn't realize you were interested in the one in WA. I thought you wanted to use that as a bargaining piece for the one closer to you. Someone in the area is the one that put the deposit down on the car. Sorry about that.

I have seen that car listed a few times. 2400 is nice, but I would have a problem paying for it. Hell if I were gonna pay damn near 30k for that I think I would buy the original Evo VII from The Fast and Furious and paint the thing. It has 500 miles on it, its a VII, but its 42.5k. Still, unlikely to find a more pristine VII (other than the hideous paint) here in the states, ever.

It was something like that, though I don't know how many folks paid that much. You seem to be trying to rationalize the purchase, yet you're not accounting for the major variable - what is it worth to you? No one here shares an identical set of wants/desires/values with you, so you have to decide whether the price is fair.

If I listened to the general forum population, my car would run like crap, handle like a tractor, and look like a spaceship. I'm not sure whether my opinion can be considered unbiased, probably not, but I told you what I thought in the beginning on this thread. I'm 46 years old and I bought my Evo to keep. Clearly, my perspective isn't the same as a 19 year old kid who just purchased a 100K, 7 tear old chopped-up Evo, working 60 hours a week just to cover the insurance. You need to decide what's right for you. Is the number of low-mileage IXs increasing? No? How much is that worth to you? How much will that be worth to you in 5 years, as you plan to keep the car? How about in 10 years? 20 years? Only you can answer these questions.
