Epm 02 dump

bought it used from a person in town, was told the stock gasket could be re-used. After putting it on and noticing exhaust coming out of the dump at idle i started to wonder. So i tightened the wastegate a full turn to see if that was the problem and it wasnt. So i thought the flapper on the turbo was bad, but now im skeptical of that, is there a gasket that comes with these from epm when there new??

Ditch the gasket. I installed my EPM o2 dump 2 years ago and used copper gasket spray. 40k miles later, no leaks.

A stock evo hotside gasket will definitely cause a leak because the stock gasket provides no separation between the wastage hole and the turbo outlet. Thus exhaust comes out of the dump tube even though the wastegate isn't opening.

I have had the EPM dump for almost 2 years, You do not reuse the stock 02 housing gasket. The 02 dump should have a small copper gasket on it. If it doesnt, then I assume you can just use a spray on one.

Correct. I had the EPM O2 on my car. No gasket, use copper spray.

I have the EPM dump and when I bought it he gave me a metal seperated gasket, i used ultra copper on both sides for safety, ran it to temp let it cool and re torqued the bolts no leaks so far 1k miles.

Have had my dump on for 2k miles. First installed it with the stock gasket, thought the air coming out of the dump at idle was normal. Then I realized that I messed up, and should have used the seperated gasket, so I ordered one from MAPerformance, no leaks since
