car slow even at 20psi.
Is it the car sluggish or I'm just getting use to the performance of my evo?
1:Car use to pull hard even on 3k rpm (4months ago) after the dealership corrected
the vacuum lines made by the previous owner.
2: 4 months later I feel that the car isn't pulling as hard as it use to be , after
I got my boost gauge install , I found out the the car was boosting 20psi on
a stock turbo but could not find the boost controller
.
3: Got spanked by my co-worker's evo9 MR from a stop light ,(7 buses length gap )
WTF! even the guy in a moped on that MR lane was catching up with me.![Mad](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif)
I'm not sure if this leak is the cause of power loss , but this leak is located below
the TB position sensor.
here is the pick of the leak (I use soapy water to diagnose the leak).

yep that will do it
I had the same issue with my sr'd 240
I would fix that first as that is the cheapest easiest thing to fix and if you have any more issues go from there
here's some more info

i wouldnt count on there being a manual boost controller in there because it could be controlled by the ecu with a jdm map sensor and smaller pill in the boost line.
if youre leaking from the throttle body check out MIL.SPEC throttle body shaft seals. there is a thread in the vendors for sale section here

I had the throttle body boost leak, as all evos do, but i was still making good power and had good spool. Did u boost leak test the whole system? u didnt mention what year the car was but it sounds u picked it up rather recently...the point being, that the car prob had that leak in it when u bought it...since literally EVERY evo gets that leak after a certain period of time...a couple years of daily driving maybe. a few other things to consider...evo 9s are faster than 8s (stock turbo wise)...i see u are using regular hose clamps on intercooler piping...ditch them all and go for t-clamps (yes even on stock boost and piping). Also, since the moron who had the car before u did a hack job putting everything back to stock, you may have another boost leak. and yes u do get used to the car...i dyno'd 350whp a month ago and the car already feels slow again.

I can hear hissing noise from the leak, every clamps seems to do its job well.
A stock 8 pushing 20psi should come close to a '09 MR .
