I keep falling in love with my car

My mod path has been fairly slow and fairly minimal, but so rewarding. Every thing I've done has made me smile, no matter how small.

Bought it, loved it, but my love plateaued.
Fixed some annoyances & cleaned some things up, then more love.
Plateau, springs, more love.
Plateau, wheels and tires, more love.
Plateau, upgraded tires (bigger and sticker), more love.
Plateau, intake & intake tube, more love.
Not my full mod list, but you get the point.

Almost every time I park it, I act like I'm checking my park job, but I'm really just looking back and thinking "damn." And I couldn't be prouder or happier when I pull in for an oil change, or people pull next to me, or people on the sidewalk see it, and I read their lips saying "damn" or "wow."

Maybe this is childish and stupid, and I'm sure not all people have the same appreciation for a lightly modified GG MR with black Rotas and a conservative drop, but it's mine and I couldn't be much prouder.

Haha! I do the same thing. Sometimes, I pretend to go "get something from the car"; when really, I'm going to go stare at it. I know exactly how you feel man.

How about some pictures of this loveable car?

I'm the same way. Sometimes I'll open up the garage and just stare.

Eh I wanted to light my evo on fire 90% of the time I saw it. I'm just not meant for imports.

The setup in the pics are 18x9.5 et35 flat black Rota DPT's with 245/40/18's. My new setup (not shown) is the same wheels with 255/35/18's.

The 245's were really stretched and not the right size at all. The 255's fit much better but I'd still like to go a bit wider if I can fit that much tire under the fenders.

It wasn't my fave originally, though I'm not sure why. When I had an Audi I was always in love with the Dolphin Gray ones (similar gray to GG). When I was looking to buy, I really wanted WW but this GG was the best one I found.

Now that I have a GG, it's really become my fave color too-- stays clean, it doesn't stand out too much and it doesn't blend in too much either.

Be proud enough to change your own oil son.
