tinting lexan windows

tinting lexan windows

just wondering if it is possible to tint lexan windows. i am thinking of replacing the rear door glass and back glass when i cage my car and wanted to have all my windows match in tint

looks like lexan windows release a gas, which causes the tint to bubble. removing the bubbled tint will ruin the appearance of the lexan. so i would go ahead and say that tinting lexan is not the best of ideas.

Or using Lexan for anything regarding street use.

I'm not too sure about Lexan, but roll cages are a bad idea for a street car.
Unless you want to wear a helmet everywhere and don't mind if they need to use the Jaws of Life to remove you from a simple wreck.

They also make Lexan Speedglass, which is supposed to be better due to the fact that it has 2 hard layers on each side. I believe this stops the gas from escaping.

apparently if you do a layer of Blister Free Graffiti Film, then tint over it, you wont run into the bubbling problem...could be worth a shot if you really want tinted lexan
