Parts will be easy. It's pretty much a Mirage with a 4g63 (DSM style) motor so most parts will be relatively easy. Reliability? Doubtful.

The car is JDM one because i live in Québec and it is the only way to have one. I can find one of these for about 5000-6000 $ CAN but I'm not ready to buy one now :P

Sorry if my english is not very good, english is not my native language.

buy the car, evo 1-3 are reliable cars, those who say they are not you need to explain why this is so and provide your proof, its a jap domestic car(jdm) and even though they might share some dsm similarities they are different and much more reliable, to the O.P. if u have any further questions pm me i can give info on parts, upgrades and whatever you want to know

Ok thanks for the information! I probably buy one in the next summer or something like that. This will not be my daily driver car, only a summer car or something like that.

EVO's of every generation are notoriously reliable. it's what made the car so successful for the years it dominated WRC. the damn things don't break. careless owners who don't take care of these cars, and mod them poorly cause them to break.

the EVO has been available in just about every market other than the US before and since the EVO 8. it's been praised all over the world, and one of it's strong points has always been it's reliability. now all of a sudden americans can't seem to keep the things from breaking? so is it really the car, or could it be the fact that it's now in the hands of people with little or no experience with a turbo, awd, manual transmission car? hmmmmmmmm doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

thanks odub, as far as i know every evo owner worldwide has heaped praise on their car so the nay sayers can explain where the non-reliability comes in

Zeroyon is a Okinawa based forum and let's just say Evo's aren't very popular on there...

you might want to check local laws.... I herd that After quebec banned RHD's for a month, they banned them for good now. Just recommend checking on that for sure before you really start looking at these hard.

I live in NB and theyre still legal here. I plan to get an Evo 3 or 2 for winter time, in black of course.

save your 5-6 g's for an evo 8/9, that is not a rhd.

DSMs that are "problematic" are because the person who owns the car does not properly maintain it, or modifies it without concern to its affect on other parts of the car.

My 95 Talon AWD lasted about 150k miles with modification and me beating the turd out of it. The only reason it finally "died" (spun a rod bearing) was because I was racing at the track and decided I will just ignore knock.
