When does the boost kick in for you guys?
I just picked up a evo 9 yesterday and I love it a lot. The car below 3k rpm feels sluggish like a normal economy car. As soon as the engine gets above 3k rpm it becomes a beast. Feels like being shot out of a cannon (never tried in real life). LOL
So is that how your evo feels also? Super slow below 3k rpm?
The car has full tbe with no cat, pro tuned, and a cone style air filter.
One more thing I wanted to ask is does a stock BOV make noise? The car has a stock BOV and it makes noise, but not as loud as the after market ones. It sounds good though.

It's a 3200lb car with a 2.0l engine and a turbocharger. What do you expect before the turbo kicks in? Similarly, if you want power, don't drive at low revs. My Evo rarely sits below 3K RPM.

2500 rpms is very doubtfull unless its a stroker and even at that idk but yes its typical for turbo lag, it has to build boost to get the power and yes the stock blow off valve will make noise but not as much as aftermarket!

You're not going to get much noise even with aftermarket ones. Evo's require recirculated BOV's with the stock MAF. Some people run VTA BOV's but it's not recommended.
