also, the engine will never heat cycle correctly. i would run a thermostat asap, there is such a thing as running "too cold" and the manufacturers definitely put them in there for a reason.

running without a t-stat can cause hotspots in the jackets that are in the cyl head. The t-stat allows the pressure difference between the cold and hot side to act like a "flush" of sorts when it is open and the coolant flows more "complete" when under pressure.
The coolant will actually swirl in the back of the jackets when not pressurised and will not move to the radiator side of the system causing the hotspots and headgasket/warping issues.
I had a lengthy discussion one day with a friend of mine that has ran a radiator shop for 30 some odd years now because I wanted to run without one like on my drag car builds. This was his arguement and I can deff see that being an issue.
explained it as uniform cooling, not just a plug to aide fast warmups.
