no thermostat
i live in central florida, had my thermostat go bad the other day and atozone gave me the wrong part. so i put everything back together with no thermostat and was just wondering if there is any disadvantage to running a no thermo set up? i can see where i'd be an issue in the winter time up north but being in florida.. plus my car is running extreemly cool makes me feel safe haha

Well I was actually told in school and at work that running without the thermostat will make your car to overheat since the thermostat controls how fast/slow the coolant passes thru the engine. If the coolant passes too fast than the heat dont transfer causing the engine to overheat. So, I am not sure now who is correct.

like said before when you are moving is fine, but when you are stopped the car will see a huge spike in heat due to the thermostat not being able to kick the rad fan on.

yea all the thermostat does is block coolant flow so the car can heat up.. if the coolant is constantly flowing, the car will never over heat. has nothing to do with the fan.

Constant flow to the radiator may make it unable to cool the system as it should.
If you want to test it, take it for a ride and get it to operating temp.
Then, let it sit in the driveway running for awhile and monitor the temp.
Fans should work fine.. but not sure if they will keep temp under control.
You'll see someting happen in stop and go driving eventually.

It always a good idea to run a t-stat for proper engine operating temp. The engine will be more efficient either is hot or cold outside. Highly recommend using a factory one or a name band
aftermarket one. If the engine runs too cold, it will develop more sludge faster.
