I'm in the same boat as you more or less. I've got most of the supporting mods on the car. I've got cams here waiting to go in. I've got cash for a new turbo or intercooler but not both. I'm just going wait until I can afford to install the cams, turbo, and I/C all at once. If you do it it piecemeal like you are planning you'll probably be disappointed with the results. If you do it all at once it'll feel like a new car to you when you get a decent bump in power vs. a couple smaller bumps. Plus you'll save time and money on multiple retunes.
