thanks guys...i already have 3k fogs which are pretty bright, im gonna go with 5k or 6k anything higher is just a bit ricey for my taste. probly going with 6k since i have the 3ks for my fogs already and light output will not be an issue thanks again

Wow, a LOT of erroneous information in here. 4300K is stock. A bit above that heads into the blue then purple hues. Below 4500 gets into the yellows. 4500-5500k is white, daylight color. Even 5000k has a bit of blue in it. And 4300 has a bit of yellow in it. Anything outside of the 4000-5500 range is actually losing brightness.
The blue/purple colors you see out of an HID light are not the color temperature. Stock bulbs are usually 4300k in most cars. It's the edge of the projector lens that separates colors in the light like a prism. This is what gives you the purple and blue hues.
I bought 6000k bulbs when I put HID lights in my truck. I really can't wait to swap them out for something in a more "white" color. I can't believe the morons that ride around with PURPLE headlights.
