first gear issue- any advice

Well I got my car back today, and ive run into an interesting issue, my 35r is laggy, so when im in first and I hit it I cant even make power because I have to let off so I dont over rev,but I dont get full power band advantage. im just wondering if its me being a noob to my cars new setup or if anyone else cant make power in first gear, it just seems too short for big turbo evos- all imput is appreciated thanks

It's due to the 8's first gear being so short...that's why when most upgrade trannys they go with the 9's cuz it's a bit longer...so ya big turbo with short gears is gonna be a little weird
