??? On diff. Fluid ATF-SP II
Hey guys. So I picked up an Evo ix at an auction and now finally got it all done a driving. Today I noticed that my diff reservoir is under the min mark. It says to use ATF-SP II fluid in it. So I called mistu and they said to just get dexter diff fluid?? If I get that could it be mixed with whatever is in the car now. Since I just bought the car not sure what fluid they used before.
So I'm just wondering if I could mix it with the other fluid that Mitsubishi recommends.
Thanks

ACD Fluid Reservoir under the front hood uses Mitsubishi ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid). Just ask a parts guy for a bottle. The rear differential and center differential use different fluids... but I assume you are talking about the reservoir and not under the car itself.

just get SP 111 fluid its an ATF, they sell it everywhere,,, and oh by the way that is not your diff,, that is your ACD ( Active Center Diff ) unit,, the TC and rear diff uses gear lube 75w90 or 90 or higher if pushing high power

you can mix brands, doesnt need to be oem. You just need to be sure its the same specs. I think its atf+4 compatible trans fluid, and you should be good. Castrol atf+4 is decent stuff for a low price.
