Getting a new set of keys

i lost my only set of evo key fishing on the ocean. How much should be expecting to get a new set from the dealer and those the car physically need to be there?

I only have one key to my car as well and when I inquired with the local dealership about another they told me I had to get two new keys and do something else like get a new ECU or ignition. That sounded like BS to me and was told that by someone else as well.

Anyone else heard of this? I don't mind paying $180 or whatever...

seems the majority has only 1 key, including myself, wonder if this is the case with most mitsubishi's or just evo's

If you know a local tuner, they can go into your ECU and turn off the need for the chip in the key to start your car, and you can get a key copy made at any hardware store. Thats what i did with my remote starter.

Just an idea. Good Luck!
