I'll probably go to Mitsubishi or a shop for them to take the freon out

Going to napa today to get the a/c delete belt, what did you guys use to block off
The hole in the fire wall? Also how do you release the freon those blue screw type things on the a/c lines?

The freon is release by the valves on the AC lines. There is a red valve and a blue valve, one for high pressure, the other low pressure. To block off the hole in the firewall I'd just use a piece of tape or try and find some type of plastic plug.

you will have to bleed out the freon for 85$ i think the dealer will do it.. I personally would just bleed it out yourself... remover the condensor compressor and all lines. get a stock evo RS serpentine belt and your good to go.

Some shops might even suck it out from free if you have the machine, its like your giving the freon so, look around.

on the passenger side you should see your a/c lines theres a cap on one of them.. remove the cap and then its just like deflating a tire lol

That stuff will freeze burn you and anything it touches. Instant frostbite. Have a professional do it. I'm no hippy but if you can afford all those cars you can afford to have someone handle it properly.

a independant shop might do it for free since your prety much giving them free R-134.

A/c has been deleted freed up a decent amount of weight I'm pretty happy about it, forward facing here I come

Just took the car out for a drive and it's the best it's ever driven and the coolest it has ran since I've owned it, this is definitely one of the best mods I have done to the evo, and the air still blows cool!

pretty cool, the engine bay must look cleaner too with all the lines and what not gone, good job.

So much better man no clutter, I wish I could dyne the car now with the a/c out because it definitely picked up some whp prob around 10-15!
