Well i was heading down the interstate and a dang 18 wheelers tire busted and i ran over part of it so it busted my front lip! Ive been wanting to get a carbon fiber one for a while now so i just bought one a few min ago, here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

My questin is, will i have to buy a new stock bottom lip to attach the carbon fiber one to? or will i just have to take off the broken lip and just re-install the carbon fiber one?

I'm pretty sure you need that factory piece to mount the aftermarket lip too, although some one else who has one may chime in.

 

Im almost positive the new lip completely replaces the factory piece.

 

I was hoping that it does...Its just kinda hard to tell in the Ebay pics

 

When I got mine it came with new clips.

 

So u just took the stock lip off and put the new one on?

 

sorry to see that dude but its deff going to replace your busted up lip cuz it says in there that is replaces front lip.

 

Thanks man, and i read that too, but ya never know with these ebay people. I just wanted to ask on here to make sure i was going to be ok with it and if not i would buy another stock lip today if i needed it so i wouldnt have to wait on it to get here....i hate driving around with the lip like it is now...Makes me feel like im walking around in public with a black eye and everyone is looking at me

 

You will have to take off the factory lip..

 

If you look at the last 2 pics it shows that the factory lip is not there and the new lip takes its place.

 

ouch, hey but atleast your getting a new one I think you take off the stock lip and after market one is direct replacement

 

looks like your intercooler is messed up pretty bad too

 

Yeah that lip replaces the OEM one so you are fine

 

Yep, its got a nice lil ding at the bottom of it (FML!) im looking for a upgrade anyways so i can make my 400 DD AWHP goal, prob going with buschur fmic.

I think they come with every thing to make a direct swap. Anyways, it sucks this happend to you. But now you're getting that lip for it, so thats good
