A deployed US soldier is coming home to his fresh Buschur Racing built Evo 8

Back in the late spring we received an inquiry from a gentlemen who is currently deployed and wanted to have his car built while he was gone. He was going to be back in the states right around the time we hold our annual DSM/Evo Shootout which is August 14 & 15. His one stipulation was that he wanted the car to be done so he could enjoy it at the shootout and celebrate his home coming.

After some emails back and forth to nail down exactly what he was looking for. He wanted a setup that would put down good power and still look pretty stealthy under the hood. We were able to get everything sorted out, he placed the order & we started getting everything together for his order. We sent a car hauler to Kansas to pick the car up and bring it here to Ohio to go under the knife.

The setup that we set Josh up with is:

Buschur Racing Stage 3 2.3 Shortblock w/ High Compression Pistons
Buschur Racing Stage 3 Cylinder Head
Buschur Racing BF272 Cams
Buschur Racing Double Pumper w/ 1200cc injectors
Buschur Racing Race FMIC w/ Upper & Lower Piping
Buschur Racing Mass Air Pipe & Filter Kit
Forced Performance Red Turbo (ported by BR)
Buschur Racing Fabricated & Coated 02 Housing
Buschur Racing Ported & Coated Exhaust Manifold
Buschur Racing 65mm Throttlebody & Ported Intake Manifold
Bushwacker Transmission
Exedy Twin HD Clutch Kit
TiAL ReCirc BOV
Misc Supporting Mods

The car is wrapped up and on the dyno as I type this. He's going to be tuned on 91 octane as well as E-85.

The car should be a blast to drive. Especially on E-85.

Here are a few quick shots I snapped of the car.

Thank you for serving our country Josh! You have been an absolute pleasure to work with and we really hope you enjoy the car. Looking forward to meeting you next weekend.

You know I've been a member on this forum since 2005, I didn't even own an Evo till 2008 lol. But you see all these guys with these threads of their monstrous builds and you think man I can't wait to have a car like that. And no I finally have my car in a thread and I'm proud to have it built by the Buschur team.

I want to thank you Jarrod for dealing with my mountain of Emails. It's really hard to communicate by any other means over here and Email obviously isn't the best method but I appreciate you tirelessly responding to every question I had no matter how dumb.

I want to thank David for just being himself, he never tried to up-sell me and he knew exactly what I wanted and turned my vision into the car in the pics. And just being a bad *** guy over all.

And I want to thank everyone else over there, the people and service has been top notch and I will recommend anyone looking to do something as simple as an exhaust to as complex as a complete build to deal with Buschur.

Thanks again guys,
Josh

Its just for 15 days, it's my R&R. I head back the end of this month but I only have 4 months left when I get back before I'm home for good.

man what a beauty, I'm a little jealous here. A couple of my friends were just sent off, but man it must be nice coming home to that.

Nice, I remember reading your thread of what you were thinking about doing. Nice to see it done.

Welcome home (temporarily), and thanks for kicking *** for the rest of us!
