Hi guys,

How many minutes is needed to change the fuel pump?

From 1-5 1=too easy and 5=too complex How do you rank this service?

I'd say make sure you set aside an hour from start to finish and buy the Walbro fuel pump with an install kit.

Also, follow this article:

Take your time, and you'll be fine. It's a pretty easy upgrade.

On a related note, what are the walbro pumps people are putting in there good for mileage/time wise.

I'm asking because I went to Mitsu to do a revision and asked How much would cost this service... The stupid guy told me that 6hours are necessary to change the pump... Ah, and told me that is needed to remove the gas tank!!!!
Dealers... take care!

Not 6 hours. Probably not even more than one hour. And the gas tank does not need to be removed, just your back seat

its easy, you remove your back seat and there is an access panel. you should go back to the guy and tell him he's a ****en dumb *** or he is trying to make a ton of money off you. its an easy job for sure, just research it on here and do it yourself.

edit: i didn't see it was a 7 either, idk then

When I installed my Walbro, it might have taken me an hour. Definitely no longer than that!

Dealer was able to look up labor time for an evo 7, I take it your not in the US? I thought I saw a write up one time and it did involve dropping the tank on a evo VII. If so, 6 hours sounds still sounds a bit high.
