I do play guitar among other things, majored for sax/piano for 2 years back in college. Doesn't help @ work when I can't be playing tho -_-

I know exactly what you mean...i bug my shop way too much and all i can think about is driving the damn thing again...been like 13 weeks since my motor blew up, so close to starting it up right now.

I have no answers for you, i am in for suggestions though...nothing so far has worked, all i want is my evo back

13 weeks O.o? Man I'm happy I'm just doing a refresh/rebuild. I'd go nuts if I had to track down a block etc, but then again I'd be overnighting parts. I'm just lucky the shop owner let me slide up the ranks as far as project order O.o

I just recently got back from a deployment and my Evo was always on my mind.. I know this doesnt help but I couldnt find anything to help me...its an addiction lol

well theres not really much you can do when your waiting for your car but being a mechanic and shop owner i can say its definitly better to find something else other then staying on them but on the other hand it is your right to keep on them your the customer! but try video games and movies!!

I noticed a lot of replies say they are deployed. I'm going to have to say the same thing. I am on the last week of a 7 month deployment on a Navy ship. My wife tells me that the tires are flat, and the battery is dead. She can't drive a stick, so the car has just been sitting there since January. I'm sure I have a lot of work to do when I get home.

As far as keeping my mind off while I am away from my car... I researched more things to add to my car when I get home! I have a great sound system all planned out already!

The worst is when you have bought the car but the money hasn't gone through and you don't have the car yet! ahhh

Well I've only got a few days of suffering left. Should be on the dyno friday!

Lucky you...wish mine was dynoing friday Going on week 15 of downtime...

Well I opened my mouth way too soon apparently- right after I posted my shop informed me rods are a week to two weeks out for the Ultimate Duty rods -_-

LOL, that is the nature i guess...i had the same problems..kept thinking all the parts were in to find out they were weeks out.

I starting airing stuff in and upgrading to nicer parts to get the build moving, lol.

Sucks though man, i know your pain.
