mines been down since may
ordered internals, waited on one piston to come in (a few weeks)
then needed a single set of piston rings, (that took almost a month.)
got scammed through here when i bought a crank (a month with paypal)
bought two more cranks, one for me and one for a friend.
machine shop forgot about my motor until i called asking why its late (3 weeks)
one of the cranks cracks when the shop is polishing/smoothing/balancing it.
block is finally back, but needs assembly, break in, and tune. its hard being without the evo, but **** happens (a lot more to me, apparently...)

Whenever my evo isn't down im either working on something else to make extra cash (I have a b16 motor that im rebuilding to sell) or I homebrew my own beer thats a fun hobby too just waiting for the fermentation is kinda boring.

Buy a cheap car that barely works, fix it up with junkyard parts, and sell the car. Did that a couple of times when I was doing an engine swap, helped fund additional mods and was fun. Ofc if you are deployed this is not really an option.
