Just be careful with the blue or the red. i got pulled over once when i was checking for change. Cop said i was impersonating a police car. I had the Blue lights in my Mazda Protege 5.

Just wondering but how often do you use your map lights? Personally I have no lights turn on when I open the doors but that's just me. I can't justify spending any money on interior lighting other than the LED flashlight i have in the center cubby. Not like the map lights help for finding thing on the floor.

You are right I do not use the interior lights very often, but it is a pretty cheap addon and somewhat unique.

I talked to a friend who is a local officer, as long as they do not appear to be exterior or "on the car" there wont be a problem.

May get pulled over, but not ticketed.... I am not worried about local cops since I deal with them everyday at work (dispatch) .... but them damn staters.....

yes the oem maplights sucks *****. dont provide enough light to find anything, so an upgrade to led's would make a difference, maybe even help find things in the backseat. id recomend just going with white though. anything else is just ricey

Thats just too much....now if they were subtle like the overhead lights in the Acura TL's then I think it would be nice

they are only $14, order them, put em in, and see how you like em. I would not do it, since my car is all black, and my interior lights are off for the most part.

So i got the lights today...

They put almost NO light out, and they are angled towards the lighting enclosure, not down at all. I have not tried them in the dark yet, but it is pretty minimal.

This! And they are a local company.

I also have an LED for you that doesn't work in my car (it might on yours though). Sounds like you already picked them up though, so maybe not.
