Trans won't go in gear

Trans won't go in gear
Unbolted the linkage from the trans, 5 bolts hold it in. Reinstalled everything and now the trans won't go in gear. Don't know what I might have screwed up. Any help?

Cables aren't even hooked up. Trying to put the trans in gear using just the levers.

why not hook the cables up and then try? i mean it only takes like 5 min to put the cables on
