Air Filters

Where do you guys usually get your airfilter for those of you that have an adapter for the MAF. I need a 4.5" air filter and cant seem to find any at the local parts stores i have in my town.

Do you guys order yours usually online or am i missing something?

You will have to order online, no place is going to stock a filter that big unless its for a Ford F900 super duper duty or whatever they are and in that case it's not gonna fit. Amsiol makes a great filter, might have to get a diff. maf adapter. Unless your running a 42R 4.5 is a bit large. Just my 0.02

No one will have them instock but any major auto parts store like autozone and so on can get them for you no problem. I got my K&N and AEM filters from autozone, I placed my order at the store and paid up front and I recieved them within 2-3 days.

Here are some 4.5'' filter options with some info when you need to order:

K&N Filters:

Part # RU-3480 4.5'' / 6'' length / 5.875'' base outside diameter
Part # RU-4260 4.5'' / 5'' length / 5.875'' base outside diameter

AEM dryflow filters:

Part # 21-206DK 4.5'' / 5.125'' length / 6.5'' base outside diameter

Autozone can get you most any filter.....hope this helps.

Haha no im not running a 42R(I Wish i was)...but i have an adapter plate connected right to my MAF and i measured it across and it was about 4.5 inches. Its the adapter plate that Buschur racing sells that connects right to the stock Intake/MAF Setup and comes with a vibrant filter i think.
