Anti-mod fans?

My car came modded and, it's a sweet car, but its' annoying as hell. Too loud, too low, and it's ugified.

Any fans of just the stock Evo? I'm going back to stock and getting rid of the go fast goodies (it's fast enough I think) and keeping it as a fun DD.

I will be focusing more on restoring it back to what it should be, nice clean paint, perfectly maintained, nice sticky tires. The big turbo (HTA Green), the lowering springs, exhaust are going to GO!

Anyone else in the low mod camp?

I wouldn't say i'm anti-mod, but i am very hesitant to do anything to the car. I kinda like it stock, but at the same time i think it could use a few upgrades. I just research the hell out of parts before i do anything so i do it right.

When I bought my VIII, I spent a year converting the car back to stock, did all the necessary maintenance, and then began modding from their. It was worth it.

Actually this is what will happen to me

I need to get it back to what it WAS, then add parts properly. Maybe I will shelf the take off parts and do mods 'one at a time!'

Yes, I prefer the car close to stock. Perfect daily driver.

That is a good approach. Don't be so quick to let some parts go.

i would say hold on to the parts if you want the car to be quitter then get a exhaust that is more mellow then loud( i got a buschur TBE magnaflow with a HFC, which has all the performance and still is quite enough not to wake anyone up when i leave in the morning and or get home late at night), raise the bad boy back up if its too low. I think eventually if you went back to stock only to spend all the money over again you might be kicking your self in the *** on the other hand if you got anything worth while to sell PM me

all in all its your choice, on the other hand, i wish i could get more stuff!

My car is stock but I'll be adding the basic bolt-ons soon. I would never want it to be too heavily modified.

One year completely stock. I have an exhaust, cams, fuel pump, mbc and licp in my garage ready to be installed as soon as I get the time.

I do have a boost gauge installed on my car but I'm not sure we can call that a performance mod.

It depends on how the individual modded it and what they did. I see a lot of Evo's that are turning into 240's because the owner puts useless parts on and doesn't do a good job installing them.
