No warranty fix for my spoiler :(
Bought my evo a few weeks ago, has a spot where the clearcoat is gone completley, and some fading.... 2005 evo 8 37k - Dealer said they would fix it if it was under 36k or 3 years, the 5 year only pertains to original owner.

I called corporate, she was a *****, but confirmed that the vehicle is covered until 10/21/10 ... said to call the dealer back and have them inspect it to determine if they will cover it.

I'm with this one. A relative of mine told me the same thing, but that was for my transfer case. He's the lead tech for land rover and says other dealers won't know you were denied warranty. Just don't go back there. It worked!

I also had the clear coat peeling / fading issue. That was after a ton of wax, and trying to keep some sort of UV protectant on there. I feel they didn't plasticize the CC formula enough but I digress.
What's BS is it took 12 hours to carefully remove my dash to get at my heater box for the air flapper replacement. Then they stuffed me for 80 bucks for the flapper unit itself, when I know the parts cost is roughly 20 bucks.
I don't mind paying for parts costs if that's what it takes, or doing the odd job myself. But 80 bucks and lining their pockets under my duress is really poor of Mitsubishi.
