its probably just the material they are made of. Put it in reverse and drive it and pump the brakes could help with squealing

All brake pads will squeal a little every now and then. There is not a set that is completely noise free. After a while the noise should go away, on my X the noise was really bad. But eventually went away with more use.

Also, did you bed the brake pads in correctly?

In my experience hawks pads standard pads will squeak depending on the amount of heat in them , the type of pad lube & pad shims also the way that their broken in if their not broken in correctly (over heated) that can cause some squealing.

Oh man, my hawk hps pads are horrible. They have come to the point where they squeak horribly at every stop. I can deal with some but now its just starting to **** me off. Im only hard on the brakes every once in a while, not that often. Theres plenty of pad left so I dont want to get rid of them yet.

On my 3rd set of pads and none ever squealed. Race compound pads will get noisy though.

I hate squeaky brakes

My pads squeal on occasion during very slow stops. Get used to it.

They're brand new Ferodo DS2500 or whatever.

I have hawk hps pads and when i first got them they squeaked terribly, worse then my factory brembo pads that were down to their squeak points. I asked my shop about it and their main mechanic said to just go out get up to about 80 and hit the brakes pretty hard a few times to heat them up. Worked like a charm for me!
