^ this....
and.....
Just because you have barely 14k on the clock doesnt mean that nothing should be wrong.
You said it yourself that you track the car and launch it etc... doing that kind of stuff will cause problems eventually, if your clutch was installed incorrectly then that could be the initial culprit and eventually over time and constantly catching the grinds your talking about gets worse and worse....
What are your mods? If you dont have an aftermarket clutch put it back to stock and bring it in for warranty.

It doesn't matter how much HP you have, sounds like you have a syncro issue, since the clutch is stock I would immediately put everything back to stock if possible including the tune and bring it to the dealer while you still have a chance being that it is a 2006 and pray that they cover you.
Besides that your just going to waste more time and money trying to fix something that can only be fixed by a rebuild or warranty replacement. Put it back to stock, bring it in to the dealer and let them tell you what it is and go from there...

I had the exact same problem at 16,000 miles. I dealt with it for a long time and finally had a new clutch put in while Shep built the tranny. It is definitely your synchro's bud....sorry. But you'll love a Shep trans! If I were to ever buy another stock EVO that would be my first mods...new clutch and tranny.

Yeah, if double clutching it (rev matching it) is allowing you to go into gear easier without grinding than it most certainly is your synchro thats toast just like you said save up for the shep rebuild. I would definitely still try the dealership who knows maybe they will be a mod friendly or just plain out don't give a crap dealer ship and get you back on the road it's worth a shot whats the worse thats going to happen.
