parking light question

I didn't want to clutter up the Advanced Section with my n00bness, so I figured I'd toss this up here:

I just got back from vacation this past weekend, and went to take the Evo out for a spin. It was just before dusk, so I turned the parking lights on, and ran back into the house, and when I came back out, I noticed the front parking lights were not on, but the rears were. Being new to the Evo scene, is this normal? I could have sworn the fronts turned on before I went on vacation. The kicker here is that they turn on normally when the headlights are turned on. Am I just losing brain cells and seeing things, or is this normal? I haven't had a chance to poke around to see if I bumped a magical button somewhere, I'm still learning the car...

Thanks in advance...

just got my 03 evo inspected and both front park lights were not on too - go to an auto store and get the bulbs you need, remove the inner front splash guards turn the steer wheel to give more room and access the bulb connector from behind - then you are done - it will work again.

Taking the whole headlight out requires the removal of the front bumper. I know because I did this and I tried everything possible before removing it. Horrible design by Mitsu
