I have a wear smoke started in my 03 evo, i have built a engine run for 2,000miles opened to chance the pistons pins for a heavy duty so can I run 30psi, open the ring gap .024” top .018sec, replace head gasket and install a 6262 pte brank new turbo, well I started and everything fine, I run no more than 4,000 rpm cause need clutch break-in and after 240miles I get to the light signal an I started seen an blue smoke, now I have 255miles and still getting the smoke, it’s happened more when I’m park and when the car is warm, I pull a plug and look dry and good, turbo intake is ok, no oil sign, like I said before everything is pretty much new inside but not the valve seal, it has 60,000miles, how can I know if the valve seal is the problem?

Sometimes it is hard to tell. Burning oil, especially if catless, has a characteristic odor. When my DSM had bad valve seals I let it idle in the garage with the door closed for awhile. BTW, don't say in there if doing this. After about 15 minutes the air was blue.
Edit: This smoke color test was done in a detached garage. Doing it in a garage connected to a house could cause CO to seep into the house.

I'm leaning towards it being the seals on the turbo. Also, driving hard when cold is usually a bad combo. You need to let the oil pressure and temperature reach their optimal before ripping around at high RPM. Driving hard when cold will not allow for proper expansion of moving parts and will eventually deteriorate piston rings which will decrease compression and allow oil blow-by (which can also be causing your blue smoke issue). Like some other users said, treat it right and it'll treat you right ![Wink](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
