I have this on my Evo:
So far it seems to work pretty well. I work in a 5 story building and my parking spot is 3 stories underground and it communicates just fine. The remote is a little large and you have to have the antenna stick to your windshield but I can live with that.

AutoPage
I am also in the market just as skrib is.
Has anyone tried, or have experience with AutoPage Alarms?

I like their "knock here to page owner" sensor that you stick to the windsheild. I saw it on a M3 last year and it looked like a nice system. Unfortunately, I was not able to ask it's owner his opinion on the system.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

There is also one under the Clifford name. Don't know the difference, if any.

i opt to have Mitsu install mine. figure i have them include it with part of the financing. the range on the Mitsu one is incredible. not sure what system it is but it uses the factory transmitter. nothing fancy, it works.
another thing with having the factory one is that i have a Blitz TT and when i take the keys out and the motor is still running, i can actually arm the car. I had an alarm and TT on my WRX and couldn't do it while the car was still running. No wire altering or anything. works perfectly.

Get an Autopage 850LCD.... I work in a car audio security store, and these are AWESOME! They include a remote starter, keyless entry, alarm that transmits to a 2-way remote (on your keychain) and let's you know what's going on with the car etc. We sell them here for 599 installed so look for them installed for near that.
It's a very, VERY nice model, but since you have an '03 Evo, you'll need to purchase a module that will trick your car into thinking that the key is in the ignition (because of the chipped key) before it will work. The module's typically run 80 or so installed.

Surgeon, thanks for the feedback on the AutoPage!
The system looks very nice and I think it's the one I'd like to have but, I'm having trouble finding an install shop in my area (South Jersey - Near Philly PA). Anyone know who installs these?
Do you know if the 2 way remote is smaller than the 2 way remote of the DEI variants (clifford, viper, python, hornet etc.)?
Thanks!
