Doors chipping paint

Does anyone else have a problem with the bottom of the door chipping the paint from the sill of the door opening? What have you done about it? Is there an evo specific door sill protector?? These doors are poorly designed IMHO. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Are your hingle bolts all in and tight? Either your sill is dented or your door is sagging. That isn't normal or correct.

Yeah my first thought was something was misaligned (the car was never in an accident btw). I had my body shop double check everything and they said it was as good as it can get. It is a common problem with a number of makes. I would bet that if you looked at the bottom of your front doors, you would see some signs of contact with the door sill. I will take some pics soon to show you what I am talking about.

The bottom edge of the door does NOT touch the bottom sill of the doorframe. Open your door and lift up on the door and see if three is slop in your door hinges. Are you actually seeing the door sit the sill or just seeing paintchips?

It's not quite the bottom of the door, it's along the curvature of the sill if that makes sense. I don't actually see the door hit, but I see some scuffing on both the door and the sill. Keep in mind this is wear over time (70k miles). I will def triple check the hinges for slop though.

If it's just wear in the paint, then it might be the seal along the bottom of the door rubbing through the paint over time? time for some decorative sill plates to cover it up..
