Minor fender bender today. Possible JDM rear???

On my way to work today, some chick rear ended me. Its not bad but she put some scuffs and stuff where she hit. You think i could get a JDM rear outta this? Im not sure how the whole insurance process works. Im 21 but this is the only accident i have ever been in. *knock on wood* Thoughts on the situation?

would be sweet if the insurance would pay for the JDM rear upgrade. Im not sure about how accidents work over in Socal but over here it sucks dick. Theres no fault blame in Quebec so basically if someone hits you, its your problem; if you want to claim you claim, if you don't, then you live with it.

Adjuster will come out look at your bumper, give you a check for around 600. Go buy JDM rear on her insurance companys dime.

Same thing happened to me, rear ended by accord. Left a little circle from the license plate bolt. Didn't fix it, just spent the money on ****** and blow.

nice suggestion about the ****** and blow. all depends how bad is the damage. Same thing happened to when i used to have my M3, the insurance said that it wasn't broken just scratched , so they re-painted. It sucks.

Which insurance company are you with, and which company is the girl who hit you with? Different companies have different policies regarding how they handle claims.

Anyway, like someone else said, more than likely an insurance adjuster will look at your bumper and either replace it or give you the cost of a new bumper, give or take, assuming it's not just paint damage. If you want to go the JDM route, then definitely push for getting the money. Chances are, the going rate for an OEM U.S. bumper is probably more than the usual online price you can find for a JDM bumper.

Farmers is generally pretty cooperative with claims, so it shouldn't be a big problem.

Basically.

You should take some pictures of your bumper and post them up here so we can get an idea of what the damage is like.

its not much. just some light scuffs that are towards the bottom. i dont see any cracks but the license plate has a dent in it so im not sure if its cracked behind it. i decided not to mess with it until i see the adjuster. honestly i think after a good wash and wax most of it would be buffed out and a few small spots would need to be painted. im just tryin to see if i can possibly get a JDM rear out of this haha.

The more you describe it, the less damaged it sounds. That might be hard to pull off.
