Not that high, 85K in an 05. Problems with the Idle Air Control Valve which doesn't allow the the car to idle when engine is cold. Amazingly is that the car is still on the stock clutch. I was expecting more troubles, but this thing is sturdy. Knock on wood.

130k on her now going on like 7 years. OEM bottom end, trans, TC, rear. Never a major mech issue.

I did the clutch at like 50k. Good mod choices, tuning, and proper maintenance (Oil/drivetrain fluid changes, New Plugs, alignments, brake pads, and timing components) will keep evolutions running and running for many trouble free miles.

I really can't say enough about the reliability of my EVO. It really has been one of the most trouble free cars I've ever owned over the years. But a lot of owners out there are not up to task of keeping them properly maintained.

Sometimes it's they can't do the maintenance tasks themselves (lack of exp/knowledge/equipment etc...) and can't keep up money wise to get that work done at a shop or they just buy it beat it to hell and dump it.

It is a performance car that does require some extra care vs. a run of the mill civic. But then again like any auto take care of it and it will take care of you

94K here

TC failed, but there is a story there. Clutch, the usual stuff, but nothing major, and have been running a lot of boost for a while. You will be fine as long as you take care of her

Just recently bought my 8. Need to do the timing and drivetrain fluid change soon. I wan't it to be reliable as possible. The only thing is the idle is a little rough once in awhile.
