Cold start slow crank
Ever since the weather has dropped to 40F degrees or 31F like this morning my car has been cranking rather weak. Today it cranked rather weaker, she had been sitting outside in the cold for over 2 days.
It fires up after a couple cranks every time, but on cold starts you can hear it crank slowly and the dash lights dim weak. If the weather is warm it cranks normally, or if I shut it down for a little bit and go back out she will wire right up. I'm also running Mobil 1 HM 10w-40.
My battery was replaced this summer, it's a Kinetik mini battery. Voltage is 14.. with the car running and when off fully charged it's 12..
I know it's somewhat normal for having a slow crank during the winter, the oil being cold and what not because my '90 winter truck does a similar thing.
I was thinking maybe the starter but idk never had one fail on me, then I remembered my 2g talon did the same thing last winter before I sold it.
Maybe it's a Mitsu thing? Lol
Any help is appreciated!
