Quick question Evo 7 fuel problem
Hi guys
I have just got back from trying to tune a car for a guy (10hr trip for me) who assured me the car was in excellent condition
JDM Evo 7
Tomei FPR
Walbro 255lph
HKS/Denso 650cc injectors
I told him to set base fuel pressure at 42psi with vacum disconnected, when i got there it was at 25psi tried to adjust it up, but wont go any more than 40psi, and the fuel line has a very strong pulse through it like the pump is getting cavitation.
This guy is a real muppet and has no mechanical knowledge what so ever, he doesnt want to spend any money on me or another mechanic close by him to look at it. Personally ive had enough of him, as he doesnt listen to what i tell him needs to be done.
Any ideas on problem, all parts are new. Ive told him to check injector seals, fuel pump install properly, fuel reg hooked up right, fuel pump relay or mod to 14v, crushed fuel lines etc
He should be able to adjust base pressure to far more than 40 psi right?
Thanks
Phil
