is there any way the tial q bov could be faulty itself?? just my 2 cents

No, run a boost leak and compression test.

yeah, there is an oring that seals the valve closed. it could be damaged.

I dont have a leak tester, but I reseated all the clamps, hoses and recently changed the intake manifold gasket. Switched back to the Q and it worked like a charm.

Sucks though because it started snowing and now the evo is drity.. egh.

Normally it would stay in the garage at times like these.
