Need some pro advice please!!!
Was looking around for an Evo VIII or IX to buy when I get back to the states and came across one that seemed pretty highly modded but very cheap. Now I realize modifying a vehicle doesnt really bring up the value, but this one even seems cheap, for the Phoenix area and a dealer at that, and just wanted to get everyones opinion. Thanks in advance for the help!!!!

Doesn't seem that highly modified to me. The high mileage would run me off, especially from a dealership. They probably don't know much about the car, and anything they say I would take with a grain of salt.
Few grand more and you can find a lower mileage Evo.
Even though I purchased my Evo through autotrader (with a good experience), I would keep checking the "Vehicles for sale" on EvoM.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong
They will sell it for that price but not long afterward, you will be dumping several grand in for maintenance that comes with a high mileage Evo. Might as well get a low mileage one. The dealership can say all of it was done, but without documentation it means nothing. Just seems like a headache waiting to happen and I would hate for your first Evo experience to be a bad one.
BTW No Evo has cruise control. -1 for them.
.. and yeah, from the looks of it, its bone stock. Those are stock rims that were either powder coated or rattle canned. I'd guess the headlights and taillights were smoked out. Not that its a bad thing but obviously this guy wanted to modify his car but lacked the money to do so. Only thing I see different from a stock car is the cam gear cover is missing.
I'm going to say this car is stock and not built like they say. I wouldn't walk in there expecting 362whp.
In my opinion I would steer clear of this car.

Yea I wasnt sure about the mods, just saw that they claimed it was built and tuned by dyno comp @ 362hp, lol. I emailed them asking for more pictures of the engine bay and full modification list, but we'll see if they respond, lol.
And VERY good call on the mileage, for some reason I saw 63,169, lol, I need to get glasses, haha

At the very least go look at that one when you get back just to see it. Its good to look at a couple for comparison purposes.

Not to beat a dead horse but it doesn't look like any thing has been done to produce 362WHP. You won't truly know until you get it dyno'd. The mileage should be your biggest concern because you have no idea how those miles were spent and by whom. IMO I would check it out but be super cautious and scrutinize everything. You will get a much better deal that way anyway. Good luck.
