if ur gona get a tune y not make the most out of it... look around on the marketplace for a used walbro255 im sure u can get them cheap brandnew there only 100bucks... pop it in... make sure ur spark plugs are in good shape and gaped correctly... then let the tuner work his magic, if ur going to pay 450-600bucks on a tune u might aswell get the most out of what u have instead of just trying to make the 272's idle better...

I agree with you on the spark plugs and will def be doing that, as for the fuel pump, is it really neccessary, or just a nice/safe thing to have?

My car is curently at evolution dynamics getting a full build but prior the car had hks 272s 3in turbo back and a few otherl extras with a tune. the car ran great and was/will continue to be my daily. Get the tune its well worth it.

A tune will not help the idle with 272s. I have pretty much the same setup I.e. hks 272s and the hks suction pipe except with alot more power adders. The idle is coming from the cams themselves. 272s lope pretty hard at idle I happen to love the sound its the sound of subie *** rape but I guess its not for everyone. If u want the regular idle back go stock cams. Be prepared to lose about 45 to 60 horses tho. A tune would help regardless which route u go. It could possibly help the idle with cams a little but not much. With 272s my car bounces vacuum back and forth between around 12 and 18so ya.

So theres no best of both worlds huh, geez and I thought the hks 272's were mild enough not to affect the idle even after a tune. I like the addition of power but at this point I think I'll get the tune, and see how I like it afterwords. I've heard alot of opinions and appreciate the help guys.

I've only got basic bolt ons and I got a tune the other day. I can tell a world of difference in how the car runs. You'll be happy afterwards and the car will run much better...especially putting it in the hands of some of the reputable tuners close to you the best of luck to you!
