To tune or not to tune?

I recently picked up an VIII with 77k, mods are TBE, hks intake and cam's 272's
I hate the way the car idles and sometimes feels like its gonna stall out. Car never was tuned by previous owner. My questions are
1. is this current setup hurting the motor with no tune (car does run pretty rich)

2. would it be more worth putting stock cams back in, or just getting the tune

basically if I spend the money to tune it, I wanna know if this thing will idle near perfectly and all around run smoother? It will be a daily driver and I'm not looking to make tons of power.

From what i know dont you need a tune once you change to a aftermarket intake? If you dont wouldent the car run to lean. If im correct then go for a tune.

stock cams back in go get a tune anyway, if you want the extra power keep the hks cams and go get a tune! regardless GET A TUNE! it will help all across the board!

I say you should go get a tune, but why taking out the cams for??? It will costs you more than a tune. My car got some bolt ons to it but i want get some more minor mods before the tune to save money.

I'd tune it, but only after other stuff to get that would benefit from the tune, anything involving intake/exhaust/engine/turbo, etc
so don't have to retune it again

he stated hes not looking for major power goals and a crappy idle, so i would take the cams out and put them back to stock, if he doesnt mind then by all means keep them in TUNE and ENJOY!

I don't plan on adding anything engine wise, and the only reason I would consider going back to stock cams is if the tune wouldn't fix the idle. If you guys are saying it will then I'll schedule an appt asap. Who's the best experience and price wise to tune somewhere between PA and NJ
Evan's, TURBO TRIX, ??? Can someone reference me please
