I remember regular being .75, Premium was .95 when I started driving in 93... kinda crazy gas prices have spiked over the years...

Keep in mind also that speculation over crude oil supply from the Middle East is driving the price up due to the Libyan crisis along with the other revolutions. The Saudis said they would step up their crude oil supply to cover any deficits from Libya. However, as this story reported, they may wait a bit to do it.
Ethanol subsidies from the federal government are still around for 2011 keeping prices low. However, there is a push to allow gasoline to contain up to 15% Ethanol.
In summary, we are in a gas price spike that will subside once things calm down in the middle east. Ethanol will eventually cost more than normal gasoline unless some company heavily invests in ramping up production dramatically (unlikely, esp without government subsidies). Inflation and taxes make the price of everything go up annualy and isn't really anything to ***** about.

im going to be getting a retune soon adn cant decided to get 93 or ethanol tune. If the price more paiid per month isnt like 20 bucks more ill do it. anyone in southern ny/ Long island care to comment?
