if they assume you have any mods on your car they usually ask to see under your hood

AEM is the only CARB legal intake system that I know of....

check out www.SOCALEVO.net and go to "Law Enforcement and Vehicle/Smog Laws" to help resolve your problem...

here is the aem one, i looked at the k&n and was surprised to know its not legal in pa and a bunch of other states

injen has one too with the ic piping and this is what their website says

6. Injen Technology submits all of our air intake systems for CARB exemption approval (California Air Resource Board). All of our air intake systems are either certified by CARB or have been submitted for CARB exemption. Considering California has some of the toughest emission laws in the country, CARB approval has been accepted as legal by other states. Each of these kits includes a high temperature decal with the CARB exempt OEO number. This decal identifies approved aftermarket add on products from non-approved products. As long as you have the approved decal you shouldn't have any problems with vehicle inspections. You can visit our Website www.injen.com and click on CARB EO listings to determine the CARB status.

You should do a OMG filter in a hacked stock airbox. Its a stealth setup and the #1 intake choice for Cali EVO owners.

PM me if you need more info, links, etc.

you should be fine with the injen one if you get it, yes it is carb legal but you would have to take a picture of your injen setup and etc send it to injen then they will send you the carb legal sticker.

Dude that's total BS and you should have gotten his badge #. It's totally legal to have a better STOCK style filter in a stock air box

Isn't a HKS intake also carb legal?
