Any benefits of running 3in upper i/c then 2.5in

hey guys i see some people run 3in upper i/c piping and just wanted to know if that helps out with power or anything then the 2.5in i/c piping, please chyme in!

I'm pretty sure this was brought up a few days ago. 2.5in has been proven over and over to handle loads of power with no problems.

If there is a benefit at all, however, is always debated.
