A/C blowing cold air then stops?
Well today it was hot as hell in Miami so i turned the A/c on. I noticed after a while it would blow air but it wouldnt be cold and then all of a sudden the coldness would come back? Anybody know any reason why it would be losing its coldness and then come back?

The compressor usually runs for a bit, then turns off. You usually can hear this, or notice the idle going up a bit then coming back down. This is how compressors work, they don't run continuously.
If the compressor is bad, it's a hard fix as they are usually expensive.
A/C refridgerant doesn't need to be recharched unless it has leaked out. Then you will have the problem of finding the leak. If it has leaked out ask them to leak out the rest, and buy a recharge kit at your autoparts store (they are cheap like $20). These are marketed as "environmentally friendly" because they are basically just butane or propane, and they don't cause utter environmental damage if dispersed into the atmosphere. This stuff is actually more efficient so it will blow colder air. The reason why manufacturers never used the stuff to start with is because butane and propane is extremely flammable lol.
The second benefit is if its an extremely slow leak, it's an easy $20 fix again. I had one of those really slow leaks that the summer would be good, but the next summer it had all leaked out. So I just had to recharge once a year. $20 a year is something I can live with.

If the compressor is still blowing cold air sometimes, I would think that it would be good. If it were bad it could lock up and not turn anymore or just stop turning on. My other thought would be that possible you have a faulty a/c switch causing it to short out randomly.

It could be too little refrigerant or too much refrigerant. The expansion valve could be plugged. The pressure switch could be shutting the system off. Fixing AC, unless you are in the business or very knowledgeable, is something best left to the shop.
