If you don't change the waterpump and tensioner when you do the timing belt you're a moron. But that's your choice some people like to waste large sums of money and time.

Yes, this is an interference motor, do it once and do it right. Unless you want your pistons to have a field day with your valves. Every time I have been to the junkyard I can pick out a handful of cars that are there because the timing belt snapped.

As others have said, change them unless you would like to do it all over for a possible coolant leak at the pump.

Either way, one day you will have to change the pump, or sell the car(which ever comes first) LOL

Hmm, "this" thread again, huh? Yes, change everything that is required:

-Water Pump
-Balance Belt Tensioner
-Balance Belt
-Timing Belt
-Timing Belt Tensioner
-Timing Belt Tensioner Pulley
-Timing Belt Idler Pulley

This is not a car to cheap out in. It's much easier to do it while everything is off and out of the way. The water pump is easier to change than the timing belt, but the belt has to be off for you to change the pump.

I'd change everything if it was my car.
I didn't want my evo to turn into another dsm.
I didn't change stuff in the past but now that I have a little bit more money I like to keep my stuff running at 100%

It's not about having money it's about keeping the money you have.
