I'd like to get some A-pillar gauge mounts
I'm debating whether to get the Carbon Fiber covers, or just a replacemtn a-pillar i saw advertised on here earlier.
now for those of you who have the cf covers, do they fit nice and snug? does it fit stock?
what are your opinons? the cf would be my first choice but only if it fits nice.

The CF covers are just a waste of money if you ask me. They don't fit all that well from what people say and they just look tacky. Personally, I went for the replacement type, that matches something super close to what the old pillar looked like. Looks good.

Whatever happend to the Lancershop.com getting color matched ones??? They have been saying for MONTHS now....next month. When does next month come??? Next year??? I understand that they are at the mercy of the company that makes the color matching possible....but damn...what's the hold up??? If they had the 3 gauge pod color matched....with the tweeter cut out like they say they will....in stock....I'd buy it right now!

I had it custom fabricated for me. I was selling them for a while, but my supplier couldn't make them fast enough and they cost a LOT more than a plastic version that Lancershop was selling. Here are some pics:

Besides, the amount of sound that comes out of that tweeter is practically nothing. It's almost useless for all intents and purposes.

Do you find that the gauges blind you at night? I would worry that they would be distracting driving at night. Maybe if they're backlit red it's not so bad.

Ha Fireball can you still get any as the one that they sell on the Lancershop is cheaper but when you add cost for panting it's about the same don't you think? Looks great on your car and that's just what I'm looking for and saw it on Technoz car and he told me where he got his.

Ive got the one from lancer shop. I took a $1 can of flat black spray paint and put on a very light coat, just enough to take the platic sheen off. Now it matches the dash perfectly. It doesn't contrast with the gray passenger pillar at all. No one who has ridden in my car has even noticed. All are very impressed.
As for the tweeter hole, it took me all of 5 minutes to put the overlay over the stock trim piece, trace the hole, and cut it out with a dremel.
Honestly, if taking 15 minutes to set up the guage pod scares you, you're going to die when you realize how much work it's going to take to put in the three guages that it holds
