Here parts are ultra expensive/hard to get, so wifeys driving of the E7 is limited to Sundays/backroads. She doesn't do too badly, but has this irritating way of shifting into second every time she has to shift into first after coming to a dead stop.

I have no problem letting my wife drive the IX. IMO, the Evo is one of the easiest manual transmission cars to drive and she does fine. The only thing that bugs me is when I'm passenger and she shifts at 3-4k RPM, I just wanna tell her she doesn't have to drive like a ***** just because she has one LOL.

Yea, I let her drive my evo in a parking lot. Could you imagine letting a girl, who dosent know how to drive stick. Drive a 600+ whp evo on the street.

My wife does not know how to use a manual trans and she has no interest in learning...That's just how I like it!

my ex girlfriend always talked about how she drove an evo before and a built srt-4 so i let her drive mine. needless to say she acted like she didnt know what to do and wouldnt downshift going up a hill because "she was scared it was going to stall". we are ex's for a reason now hahaha.

Marriage is worth more than a car, and if my wife wants to drive mine she can. I taught her how to drive it, so that I could use her Trailblazer to pull my boat. She was afraid to drive stick with the kids, so I had to buy her an old Outback to use when I need her car. This was fine with me. Although I am sure she would have gotten better at it, I am glad she is not abusing my transmission.

She can drive the Evo any time she wants, but rarely does. She prefers the ease of the Camry over the Evo. Anything we each had when we were married became "ours". However, that doesn't mean I have to show her how to adjust the boost controller . I'll often keep it running on stock boost until I take it out for a spirited drive.

My wife absolutely refuses to drive my IX... Especially since switching to corn. I had her rip through 3rd gear one time and she panicked at about 4500 RPM and slammed on the brakes. Said it scared the crap out of her and she thought she was going to break something.
I'm ok with that

My ex used to beg me to be able to drive my last Evo. No way I was letting her. Especially with a twin disc and fp red.
